set, I have no problem with students this young using the
computer as long as the time is limited."

BernieD asks, "Because the damage has already been done?"

ASO [guest] has arrived.
Jan_NS says, "(cut myself off too early) enrich the hands-on activity in
the classroom. NOT computer worksheets."

Elaine [guest] says, "I did aWebQuest training that involved a 1st and
2nd grade teacher. They felt that a WebQuest was a
great structure to present a lesson to students using
the wonderful resources on the Internet. They planned
to do their first one as a whole class activity."

AdamG says, "I have used webquestswith second and third graders and their
projects some times turn out better then the fifth graders.
They can synthesize and evaluate and have fun doing it"

BernieD says, "So it sounds as though we all sense the possibility of
misuse, and are eager to find a balance."

Jan_NS says, "agreed"

KarenRL says, "yes."

AdamG says, "true"

DebbieH says, "Yes"

MarcaB [guest] says, "I often find my students leaps and bounds beyond what
I expected of them""

BernieD says, "OK... I"

ShayneR blushes

BernieD says, "have played devil's advocate long enough. Time to look at
