This is a newly developed WebQuest by Candy Szalay, a Kindergarten teacher
here in San Diego. It's called Meeting in the Mitten and it's based on the
book "The Mitten" by Jan Brett.

The unit takes around a month and culminates in the children performing a
play based on the book. Along the way, they learn aboutseveral types of
animals andthey practice transforming the book into dialog, costumes and
a set.

instructions, the activity, cooperative learning, and also
the terminology of the rubric."

BernieD says, "The Jan Brett site is one of the best kiddie litsites out
there, they tell me. She has sound files for the early
reader, too."

AdamG says, "The technology is the part that allows the students to find
the information so quickly"
