AdamG says, "enjoyed it"
BernieD says, "OK... let's move on to a second one."
Jan_NS says, "several of us have identified the strengths of a K-3 WQ -
student engagement, resources and information that is
unavailable in other forms, simplicity and visual appeal."

KerryW [guest] has arrived.
BernieD projects K3-4.
---------------
The next WebQuest we'll be looking at was also created by San Diego
teachers. This one is about Insects.

BernieD says, "Let's spend a few minutes poking around in this one."

BernieD says, "One thing to be sure to check out: go to the teacher page
and click on Process, and from there click on the link to
t-script.html."
Marcia [guest] says, "I am getting script errors when I attempt to enter
this webquest so I can't view it. Is anyone else
having this problem."
DebbieH says, "Great pictures of insects"
JaniceF says, "I have some problems with this one"
BernieD says, "hmmmm... I wonder why? There's nothing exotic about it."
Judi-2 says, "depending on what version of browsers... even not exotic can
cause problems with Javascript"
JaniceF says, "the teachers I worked with were looking at a different
webquest on insects and noted that there are so many insects.
Why should the teacher decide a few to study. Also much of
the quest seems about fact finding."
BernieD says, "I pointed out the t-script.htm because it's a part of the
WebQuest template that most people don't make use of. It's a
place to write up a script for a teacher or aid to use while
reading the page to the kids and clikicking for them."
CynthiaM asks, "I'm not sure I would call this a true WebQuest. Where is
the transformation of information?"
BernieD says, "(clikicking is how it's spelled when you've filled up the
window and can't see what you're typing.)"
KarenRL says, "Interesting. I agree with JaniceF. Perhaps the students
should pick their own insect and develop a report or some
other activity on their own insect."
