own insect after viewing and completing these tasks, since
they should understandwhat an insect"

BernieD exclaims, "There were videos in there? I missed that!"

AdamG says, "sorry guys I have to leave, I will catch up with you next time"

DebbieH says, "Yes, very interesting"

AdamG has disconnected.
BernieD asks, "This one should take less time to parse. What do you think?"

JaniceF says, "It is definitely for pre-K. I can imagine myself with a
preschooler or two on my lap going through the quest."

Marcia [guest] says, "The activities are appropriate in length for younger
students' attention spans, and with clear focus."

BernieD says, "Your lap isn't that capacious, J."

JaniceF exclaims, "thanks!"

DebbieH has disconnected.
BernieD says, "According to the author, this is for K-3. Sounds like you
think it's a bit younger than that."

KarenRL says, "I can see other uses. Perhaps for 2nd or 3rd graders,
animal of the day, and students report on their favorite
animal."

JaniceF says, "yes, I think it would be way below 3rd grade."

CynthiaM says, "The grade level at the top says Pre-K through 3"

Marcia [guest] says, "I think it would be appropriate for early 3rd,
especially those just learning their way through a
webquest."

MarcaB [guest] says, "I might use it very early in third grade with
students new to technology and a WebQuest.""

BernieD says, "We're not docking points for retelling on this one, sounds
like."

ShayneR says, "I like the way this one also teaches some computer/internet
skills--using hyperlinks, printing out something they find,
sending email..."

CynthiaM says, "I think for older students in 3rd grade you would want a
more challenging task"

KerryW [guest] says, "agreed,I think most of the Kindergartners I've
taught in the past are beyond this but it might be
good for starters when learning about Webquests."

Jan_NS says, "like other teacher resources, a lot depends on the teacher."

JaniceF says, "There really isn't a task here."

CynthiaM says, "I agree, Janice"

MarcaB [guest] says, "I agree with JaniceF. I didn't"
