design the best new U.S. coin. To accomplish that task, students look at
existing coins and choose among potential heroic Americans to put on one
side and monuments on the other.

their are some words that might be a bit too high on the
vocabulary level"

their coin. I visited Terri's classroom and saw all these
coins... very cool!"
