BernieD says, "You see a lot of quests like this which are a series of
mini-tasis. I'm not sure I like them as much as those that
have a main, core task."

LindaGu says, "Some well placed scaffolding would greatly enhance this
site."

CarmenLR quietly listening, but engaged.

BernieD says, "In a way, he's blurred the process and task together."

SRI_8 [guest] asks, "to Carmen: 1st grade yes fun, engagingbut what
area should I focus on curriculum wise?"

BernieD says, "Time is flying... so let me show a happier, first grade
example."

KarenRL says, "animals, not cruelty to animals. Family, friends, a
simple biography."

BernieD projects the URL:
http://projects.edtech.sandi.net/pbelem/kiddcoin/
BJB [to Tom]: "did you get that one?"

JanetMO exclaims, "Got it!"

CarmenLR says, "yes"

BernieD says, "There's a lot to this one."

JanetMO asks, "Wow! Did you mean first grade, as in first rate?"

BernieD says, "And yet it's very accessible to kids of this age (grades
1-3) and does involve some real creativity."

CarmenLR says, "Yes,great for the lower grades"

BernieD says, "Notice in Step 8 of the process... you can see examples
of the coinds the kids designed."

DianneC asks, "did you see the neat make a coin game in step 3?"

BernieD says, "Yes... very cool. Sometimes when you see a site like
that, it inspires you to build a lesson around it."

KarenRL says, "I like the higher level thinking skills the students will
use."

LindaGu says, "This has the makings of a really good WebQuest with just
a little tweaking."

CarmenLR says, "Very motivating. I like the step outline on the side.
Easy to follow"

BernieD asks, "What would you do to improve it, Linda?"

LindaGu says, "I especially like the templates included within the
process for the kids to use."

DianneC says, "I like the way she identified which part of the webquest
links to the standards she listed."
