KrissyL asks, "I realize the imiportance of a thorough description in
the process - especially if students are looking at this
outside of class, and also for others, but when it comes
time for implementation in the classroom, doesnt' it make
most sense for the teacher to explain the process?"

JudithV says, "Hi Tami"

BernieD says, "Yes. But kids forget. So do adults. So even after you've
introduced it face to face it's good to have it written
down. And it's essential to write it all down if you want
anyone else to be able to use your lesson."

KrissyL says, "Thanks - that's what I thought."

BernieD says, "Let's move on to another example."

JaniceF says, "This college webquest is very authentic."

BernieD projects decision05.
---------------
Here's a second example of a WebQuest about deciding on a personal
course of action.

It's about buying your first car (or not!).

BernieD projects the URL:

http://edservices.aea7.k12.ia.us/edtech/teacherpages/ljohnson/index.htm
BernieD says, "This one's authentic, too, and of interest even to the
non-college-bound."

KrissyL exclaims, "Yes, I think I'll have my daughter use this when she
turns 16!"

SarahWL says, "Good idea"

BernieD says, "I've convinced my 13 year old that the driving age here is 30."

Tami [guest] says, "It reminds me of an episode of the "Cosby Show"
where the parents were trying to get their son to
understand that getting an apartment was not as easy
as it seems."

Judi chuckles

KrissyL smiles

SueMR exclaims, "A very authentic Webquest! This should grab the interest
of every secondary student!"

MaryBZ [guest] has arrived.
