BJ [HelpDesk] listens to Bernie
BernieD says, "most of the guidance is about how to COMMUNICATE their
opinion, and there's really not much help in arriving at
an opinion in the first place."
JaniceF says, "Let's talk about how to do that."
BernieD says, "To me... that's the missing link in most of these."
BernieD says, "We shall, my favorite Missourian."
KrissyL [to Bernie]: "Anxious to hear more!"
Tami [guest] says, "I am enjoying this exchange of information, but
unfortunately I must go. My children are not
cooperating...."

---------------
The one good example I had lined up about rating and ranking just went
404, so let's move on to the question of how we integrate these skills
into a WebQuest.
It seems to me that these skills....
Should be explicitly taught
Should be at appropriate complexity
Expressed in the Process part of the WebQuest.

BernieD projects decision09.
---------------
There are entire graduate programs in business about effective decision
making. So how do we scale it down to the K-12 level?
The trick is to simplify without oversimplifying. While beginning to
research this I was surprised to find a pretty good guide to
decision-making on a page hosted by the American Red Cross. Take a look:
---------------
BernieD projects the URL:
http://www.redcross.org/services/hss/tips/april/aprtip99.html
BernieD says, "Take a look at this page. I think it's a great example of
the kind of scaffolding we need more of."
JaniceF has disconnected.
MaryBZ [guest] says, "I feel out of the loop with this exchange as the
computer I am working on is very slow, but I am
here trying to keep up with the information."
SueMR exclaims, "We need to teach kids decsion making skills!"
