Judi [to Bernie]: "you ready?" BernieD says, "OK! Greetings to all. I'm glad to see you here." Judi says, "i'll start" Judi projects Judi. Judi Fusco--a researcher interested in studying and using virtual communities. Judi is the community activities director here in TAPPED IN. She loves to help teachers get started in TAPPED IN. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to let her know. BernieD projects AboutB. I'm Bernie Dodge and I'm a professor at San Diego State University in the Department of Educational Technology. I've been working with teachers since the days of Apple II's, and I love my job more than ever now that the Web is available to us as a resource. The the last three years I've been involved with San Diego Unified School District's two Challenge Grants (which are heavily about WebQuests). More recently I've started work on a Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology grant in which we'll be reinventing the way student teachers learn about computers. GeorgePK says, "I teach IT to pre-service teachers at Malaspina University-College in Nanaimo, B.C." BJB says, "Hi, everyone. I'm an art teacher in Pennsylvania and a helpdesk volunteer here at TAPPED IN" ScottNF says, "High school math teacher at Logan High in Union City California." BarbTh says, "Barb Thorson Instructional Technology Specialist with the Iredell Statesville Schools in Statesville, North Carolina. I am also a technology trainer with the North Carolina Teacher Academy." ShayneR has arrived. Andy [guest] says, "I teach social studies methods at Northern Illinois University near Chicago." ---------------------------------- JeffC---------------------------------- My name is Jeff Cooper (coops@edmail.com). I have been a Computer Resource Teacher, taught English, ESL, Drama (my degree), Computer Applications and Desktop Publishing. I am very interested in the integration of technology into curricula, and completed the LInC program at Fermilab, where I collaborated with educators throughout the year. I believe in shifting pedagogy away from teacher centered didacticism towards student centered projects. I also believe in breaking down classroom walls and using MUVEs (Multi User Virtual Environments) such as Tapped In to facilitate team teaching on a global scale. If you are interested in collaborating, please don't hesitate to contact me. --------------------------- JeffC stops pasting GailLR says, "HI, I'm Gail Ring, a doctoral student studying IT at Univ of FL, and teaching at UF as well." SueMR has arrived. Sue's Recorder (recording) has arrived. JanineL says, "Hi, I'm an instructional technology consultant in Michigan" BernieD asks, "Shayne... got a self-intro?" ShayneR says, "Hi, I'm Shayne Russell. I'm a library media specialist in Mount Laurel, NJ. I work in a huge school with 1,000 5th and 6th graders." BernieD asks, "Is that everyone?" Judi says, "no We need to hear from Sue." Judi smiles BernieD asks, "Sue?" Judi wonders if Sue walked away from the computer SueMR says, "Primary school classroom teacher and involved in Staff Development in Curriculum and technology" Judi . o O ( just in time ) BernieD says, "Ok...to remind ourselves of our topic..." BernieD projects sw01.
BernieD exclaims, "That's what we're here for. I've sent out invitations to a lot of folks, and I see some of them here. Welcome!" BernieD projects sw02.
BernieD asks, "Any additions or corrections?" GeorgePK says, "sounds good" GailLR says, "this is great it will be really helpful" BernieD says, "OK... let me start the ball rolling...." BernieD projects sw03.
Judi . o O ( scroll back if you need to... ) BernieD asks, "So that's how I'll spend my summer vacation. Who else has got something going?" GeorgePK says, "I'm not offering any sessions this summer, but I do have about 100 teachers in" GeorgePK says, "that is that I have a 100 teachers developing webquests in the fall. This, however, is part of their coursework." GailLR says, "I am giving a workshop at NECC titled Social Studies Inquiry Via WebQuests" BernieD says, "Cool. We're all looking forward to the results." ShayneR says, "Nothing this summer... I'm working on putting together a course for the fall semester that will be offered through Rutgers' Library School's Professional Development department." JanineL says, "I'm offering a 4 half day workshop as part of a distance education conference at a local private university, Andrews University, June 25-30." BernieD asks, "That's 4 half-days?" JanineL says, "yeah - it's the first time I'm teaching it face to face, do you think we'll get anywhere? :)" BarbTh says, "With the North Carolina Teacher Academy, a team of nine have developed a technology II session which will include three days of developing webquests to correlate to the curriculum. This will be the first experience for most so we'll start with the basics, defining the tasks, rubrics for assessment, etc. We will present these sessions for two weeks with about 80 teachers each week. In my county, I will present something similar in July for two three day sessions." SueMR says, "I will be doing 5 workshops for our summer institute; one is Filamentality; the rest are related to integrating the web into the curriculum" BernieD says, "Zounds! Lots of variety here." Judi will do a couple of workshops this summer... (not specifically on WebQuest) but on TAPPED IN... but I always share our calendar with folks.... Judi says, "and how wonderful the WebQuest sessions are. :-)" BarbTh says, "I would have loved to travel to NECC but my county doesn't have funds to pay for conferences." BernieD asks, "Does anyone have URLs to go with what they've mentioned?" Judi says, "http://www.Neccsite.org (if you don't know NECC)" GlennG has arrived. BarbTh says, "Glenn introduce yourself" GlennG says, "Hi I am Glenn Gurley from North Carolina" GailLR says, "I am currently working on the website and hope to have it up and running next week. I would be happy to share the URL then....and eagerly await any comments." Judi says, "TAPPED IN is having a virtual conference online this summer..... I wonder if we can have a webquest session then. :-)" DebbieB has arrived. GailLR says, "I'm sorry you can't attend NECC Barb, since it's close to Gainesville it's easy for me to go." JanineL says, "I like Judi's idea" Judi says, "it's July 12th... all day." Judi says, "BJ is the one organizing it.... :-)" BernieD says, "I'm game to participate. That's one of my few weeks off." Judi smiles Judi says, "Excellent" ShayneR [to Judi]: "Will there be transcripts for the July 12th conference? I'll be on a canoe trip?" BernieD says, "Well... we've heard a wide range of formats described. Let's move on to the second part of tonight." BernieD says, "Discussion of issues about content and sequencing. What are the essential things to include?" BernieD asks, "In what order?" BernieD asks, "Anyone have ideas about these things?" JanineL says, "It seems logical to me to do the "webquest about webquests" first for beginners" BarbTh says, "I think for us we will need a more indepth introduction to the webquest concept to begin with." BernieD agrees with JanineL GeorgePK says, "here's the URL http://www.mala.bc.ca/www/discover/educate/edte611.htm BernieD says, "Let's go look at it." Judi asks, "shall we project?" BarbTh asks, "How do we do that?" BernieD projects the URL: http://www.mala.bc.ca/www/discover/educate/edte611.htm BarbTh says, "This is too cool" GeorgePK says, "I've also found the webquest about webquests and that seems to work well" BernieD asks, "Is there a particularly great one we should look at George?" GlennG says, "The basic elements are important - in NC we sometimes have the participants do a couple of hours of pre-activities before the session." JanineL says, "people have to experience something befor they know what it is" Andy [guest] says, "I like to begin with a discussion of the limitations of inquiry learning before we had easy access to so many primary resources online. Then we do the webquest about webquests" BernieD says, "I try to get into the WQ about WQ with minimal preamble. Best to get them immersed and talk about it later." GeorgePK says, "Shelien's Explorer one was pretty good" Judi shows TAPestry to AngelaLP. BernieD says, "Cool... if we run out of things to talk about, we'll go back and take a look at that." Judi shows PC to AngelaLP. BernieD asks, "OK... we've agreed on the first 2 hours or so of a workshop. What next?" GlennG drops BDodgeWebQuests (recording). JanineL asks, "we found in our online class that people needed more time with the task - so maybe starting there??" TaraEM has arrived. TaraEM says, "Thanks" BernieD says, "Good idea. If the task is badly chosen, the rest of the time is wasted." BernieD says, "I usually go to the Taskonomy as a way to sensitize them into going beyond retelling." GeorgePK says, "we have a fairly tight timeline and so over the last few years I've spent longer on getting the right problem/question/challenge for the task" BarbTh says, "I quickly took a look at that webquest. I tend to like the simple ones and find beginning teachers will use the less complicated ones. Those with lots of flash, etc. are usually not chosen by beginning teachers." BernieD agrees with BarbTh. Some WebQuests are so completely developed that they scare teachers. BernieD asks, "So.. in our ideal workshop, we'd spend the afternoon developing a viable task idea?" SueMR says, "Those new to Webquests like the three step webquest. I think you had a session here sometime ago." BarbTh says, "Please share the three step process" BernieD asks, "Three steps? Can you refresh my memory?" TaraEM says, "What is the three step WebQuest" Judi asks, "are you talking about the short webquest?" SueMR says, "Yes, the mini webquest." BernieD says, "Ah. Yes... we can go shorter if we..." GlennG says, "After the hour or so giving an in depth look at the parts of a WebQuest we go over the rubric and have them go through a model of a WebQuest" BernieD says, "minimize the number of URLs and give up on create something and instead have a well informed conversation as a final outcome." BernieD agrees with GlennG. I usually do that before getting into the Task design. BernieD asks, "Maybe we should take a look at an existing workshop outline to give us something to react to?" JanineL says, "sounds good to me" TaraEM says, "A group of teachers requested that I show them how to build a WebQuest in an hour" Judi [to TaraEM]: "that's a tall order!" GlennG says, "The folks seem to really understand when they go through one with a rubric... I also set up a spreadsheet for them to enter their information into which gives an average and have them explain whey they give it a 0 or 1" BernieD [to TaraEM]: "Ask them to show you how to be a great teacher in an hour." GeorgePK says, ":-)" JanineL grins BernieD says, "Cool beans, Glenn." TaraEM says, "Judi, I prepared discs for each participant with templates in three formats. The teachers brought there own supplies and ideas to work with." BernieD asks, "Did they already know how to use an editor?" TaraEM says, "I agree with your reaction" BarbTh says, "Which editor are you all using" GailLR asks, "as I mentioned, I am giving a three hour workshop on webquests, and it seems that that is not nearly enough time to understand them fully enough to develop one during that time period too. Don't you agree?" GlennG says, "We have our three day outline on our site" TaraEM says, "A day before the session I discovered that the school didn't have access to an editor. I saved a copy of the traditional template in Word for them to work with." BernieD asks, "What's the URL, Glenn?" BarbTh exclaims, "I attended the three day webquest workshop presented by Glenn and it was GREAT!" BernieD feels Tara's pain. TaraEM says, "Thanks Bernie."
BernieD says, "Let's take a few minutes looking at Glenn's outline." JanineL asks, "How many hours each day, Glenn?" GlennG says, "it is six hours a day - try to have two days together then break for a few days then another day" TaraEM says, "The teachers left feeling really good about the session; however, with a minimal understanding of the beauty of the tool" GlennG says, "The Excel spreadsheet is under the hotlink - sharing" BarbTh says, "I agree with Glenn. A two day session with time before the final day would have been great. It would have given the teams time to reflect and refine." GlennG says, "Bernie - this is the site that you worked with through Karen Creech" BernieD exclaims, "Nice piece of work!" GlennG says, "Thanks Bernie - you know you are our hero in North Carolina" BernieD says, "I think the sequence of analyzing some other WebQuests before delving into your own is great." BernieD says, "You're probably wise to stick with the non-framed template for beginners, too." GlennG says, "They really examine and are hard on our model "This Land is Your Land" but I am thick skinned and can take it" GlennG says, "We give the lower end template for the folks but let them know that their creativity is the limit" BernieD asks, "How are you putting up those feedback forms? Is this an open tool for others to use?" TaraEM says, "Wow! I wish I could go to one of those three day sessions." BarbTh says, "The webquest my team created while participating in Glenn's workshop can be found at http://www.ncwiseowl.org/OwlTeacher.htm and click on Spin City: A webquest about tornadoes" BernieD exclaims, "Luv the title!" GailLR says, "It's a really nice site, and I like your inclusion of brief tutorials to assist the attendees" BernieD asks, "Shall we look at another outline?" GlennG says, "They come to my e-mail address so we can assess each day but anyone can use the format and change the html to their address" JeffC has lost his link. BernieD asks, "But you need an e-mail cgi?" BernieD asks, "Or Response-A-Matic?" GlennG says, "No - it goes to ResponseoMatic (sp) and them send it to you... also we have a neat request for permission form that can be used as is" GeorgePK says, "My outline is similar but I have a little more time so I usually get the student teachers to do a webquest. This seems to give them skill with some more technology while reinforcing the webquest model" GlennG says, "Yes that is it Bernie" ScottNF asks, "what is a response-o-matic?" BernieD says, "Cool. When I put this transcript together, I'll include a link to Response-0-Matic." GailLR exclaims, "That would be great!" BernieD says, "OK... hold on 1 sec and I'll take us there." GlennG says, "It is a place where you can create forms that are mailed to you..."
BernieD says, "This is a very cool tool. It's what I use when people submit WebQuests to my page for inclusion in the matrix." SueMR says, "This "Response-0-Matic" can be quite useful" ScottNF asks, "Thanks. Another quick question - are there any math-related webquests yet?" BernieD says, "It's still underrepresented, Scott." BernieD says, "Although one of my students just did a pretty good math/P.E. one." JanineL asks, "how often is the inquiry model used in math? isn't that why it's underrepresented?" Judi [to BernieD]: "I'm not sure if Scott knows about your matrix...." Andy [guest] says, "Great stuff...my wife says it's time for dinner. Gotta go! :-)" GlennG says, "In my last workshop we had a team do on on famous history folks... turned out really nice... secret agent theme" BernieD says, "Here's that math one..." ScottNF says, "The inquiry model is not used enough in math - hence student boredom. :)"
BernieD says, "You might want to bookmark this for later play." ScottNF exclaims, "Will do. Excellent!" BernieD says, "We've only got a few minutes left... one question that always comes up is..." BernieD asks, "What's the best web editor for newbies to be taught. Any opinions?" GlennG says, "We use NetScape because it is free..." BarbTh says, "I like Composer since it is free and easy to use" Judi likes good old bbedit. JanineL says, "Netscape composer is free - so that's what we have gone with" ShayneR says, "I was leaning towards Netscape Composer, because they can download it for free." ScottNF says, "I always use Composer. My school uses PageMill." TaraEM says, "I like Composer too" GeorgePK says, "I've been using Composer" Judi feels in the minority JanineL says, "I use PageMill personally - but wouldn't use it in a webquest class" BernieD exclaims, "Wow! Such unanimity!" BarbTh says, "That's OK Judi" GailLR says, "I really like Claris Homepage. It's easy, I have been using it for years and have taught it to a class of 475 students without any problems" ScottNF asks, "What does Judi use?" GlennG says, "OK my personal preference is Front Page" Judi says, "BBEdit... their motto is it doesn't suck" Judi smiles BernieD says, "Adobe announced today that it has dropped PageMill. Claris Home Page, which we often use, is also orphaned." JanineL says, "we teach claris/filemaker homepage in our web design class" SueMR says, "Our schools use Claris Homepage" BarbTh says, "What do you mean it has dropped Pagemill" JanineL asks, "Filemaker took over homePage didn't it?" GeorgePK says, "we've been thinking of changing to Front Page" BernieD says, "and did nothing with it." GailLR says, "yes it did" BarbTh says, "I would go with Composer since it is free" Judi says, "isn't there an editor in Apple works? (formerly clarisworks?)" ScottNF says, "Personally, I'm intrigued by new software that allows for Drawing programs to be converted to HTML. I think that is more intuitive than any webedit program." JanineL says, "front page is quite bulky tho" BernieD says, "For Mac users, it's either Composer now or going up to one of the heavy duty ones." Judi says, "Frontpage generates some NASTY html" TaraEM says, "I noted that a lot of people do not know how to work with frames. When using the Zip Template I had difficulty finding info" BernieD asks, "Scott... you talking about Freeway?" ScottNF says, "I've only used freeware versions, not familiar with Freeway." JanineL says, "when we used the frame page, we had people only edit the other pages, but not the frame or the bar - that worked well" GlennG says, "Another one that is free and fine is by AOL" BernieD [to TaraEM]: "Yes, it's not that well documented. But if you have people leave the index and t-index files alone, it's just a matter of editing one small file at a time." TaraEM says, "Judi, I'm not familar with frontpage" Judi says, "http://www.bbedit.com/ if you're interested.... it's not free though... but they are advertising VOODOO for macintosh.... it looks interesting" TaraEM says, "thanks Janine" GlennG says, "FrontPage is Microsoft" Judi [to TaraEM]: "frontpage is made by microsoft" BarbTh says, "I like Frontpage but there is a cost" BernieD asks, "and there's FrontPage Express which is free, no?" JanineL says, "and Frontpage creates HTML that Netscape doesn't like" Judi asks, "but do we really trust M$?" Judi . o O ( even if it's free? ) GailLR says, "No" BernieD says, "and from now on, all your FrontPage web sites will be broken up into three parts." GlennG says, "Yes you are correct about Netscape not being fond of it :-)" BarbTh exclaims, "This has really been an exciting session and you all are so great!!!! I am glad Bernie sent me the email to join this session. Thanks!" TaraEM says, "Judi, does that mean that some browsers won't recognize it" Judi [to Tara]: "yes... when i try to go to some front page sites netscape just sits and spins" BernieD says, "I see by the clock on the wall that... there's a spider." ScottNF says, "Very frustrating indeed." SueMR says, "Thanks! There has been alot here to consolidate. I have only done a two hour introductory webquest workshop" BarbTh exclaims, "Sorry guys but I need to go. Thanks for including me tonight. This was great!!!" Judi says, "folks are welcome to stay and talk..." BernieD asks, "Shall we keep it going?" Judi exclaims, "or come to any of our other sessions too!" BarbTh has disconnected. JanineL says, "I'll stay for a little while" ShayneR exclaims, "Thanks so much, everyone. This has been a great help!" GlennG says, "I am game to keep going for sure" GailLR exclaims, "thank you for all of the very helpful information. This will help me with my workshop. thanks!!!" GeorgePK says, "Thanks Bernie" TaraEM says, "Bernie, thank you for inviting me to this session. I have a lot of improvements to make in my future session outlines. Thanks to everyone here for the advice I am taking away." JanineL says, "it was good to hear everyone's ideas" ScottNF says, "Bernie - look for my math webquests in the future! :D" Judi looks for a show of hands on who is staying BernieD waves JanineL waves GailLR says, "I'll stay, but I don't know how to wave" GlennG says, "I am staying" BJB [HelpDesk] shows emoting to GailLR. GlennG waves SueMR says, "I'LL STAY" Judi says, "ok.... for those leaving slip quietly out the door...." BernieD has lost his link. GeorgePK says, "I can stay a little longer" GailLR wavesthanks I figured it out:-) ScottNF asks, "Judi, are there any other forums going on right now?" ShayneR waves BJB [HelpDesk] cheers for Gail Judi says, "we lost bernie... i don't know if he was waving bye or waving that he was staying..." TaraEM says, "I'm not waving bye yet" Judi says, "We'll wait to see if he comes back... but tawlk amongst yourselves ;-)" BernieD has connected. GlennG says, "I think it is important that we freely share as Bernie has with us... that is what has made WebQuest so special" GeorgePK says, "i want to know how to wave" JanineL says, "Glenn, I'd like to hear any advice you have for my four half days :>" BJB [HelpDesk] shows emoting to GeorgePK. Judi shows emote to GeorgePK. BernieD has lost his link. BJB [HelpDesk] smiles at Judi Judi [to ScottNF]: "no other sessions right now...." JanineL asks, "do you think I should even get them started on a webquest?" GlennG exclaims, "I would have floating breaks for sure!" TaraEM says, "Judi, please show me how to wave too" Judi shows emote to TaraEM. GailLR asks, "Those of you that have had successful workshops, would you give me some advice as to the feasibility of having students create a webquest in a mere three hour workshop?" GlennG says, "I would also encourage the teachers to do some things away from the training to prepare for the next session" JanineL says, "I would think 3 hours would be enough to show them what it is and have them evaluate some? ..." Judi asks, "how techy are the folks your teaching?" Judi says, "cause doing hands on in a session can be difficult...." GeorgePK says, "I don't think it's possible, but they could become a good consumer" Judi says, "if they aren't all at the same level" TaraEM Thanks Judi Judi smiles at Tara GailLR says, "Thanks Janine, I don't have any info on the attendees just yet, but should. I'm thinking they probably won't be too techie" GlennG says, "We made the pre-activities to make the most of the time in class - so a web-based activty resource like what we have is good" JanineL asks, "what were the pre-activities?" GeorgePK says, ""I wonder if anyone has strategies for pushing the variety in the types of webquests they see developed" BernieD has connected. GlennG says, "I also give a two-hour overview of web authoring using NetScape Composer for some to set the level" ScottNF has arrived. RecorderForFriedland (recording) has arrived. SueMR says, "Our teachers wish to modify an existing webquest; put in Canadian content." BernieD says, "Sorry... my computer got into a weird mode and wouldn't let me type an opening quote." TaraEM says, "I always show teachers the extremely simple as well as the extremely complex" TaraEM says, "Glenn, is it possible for you to give one of those sessions on line" GlennG says, "Good point Tara... I encourage them to get the basics down then they expand from there ... that way everyone has a product at the end... Almost all work really hard to make it just right..." TaraEM says, "Mind you, I had problems with going online only a year ago" JanineL asks, "have any of you had people work in groups to make one webquest as opposed to having everyone do their own?" BernieD says, "I often do groups. Especially for newbies." GlennG says, "I find much greater success in having teams of 2-3... but did one workshop where they ALL created one..." GailLR says, "I think that is a really good idea especially in a limited time frame. I am going to try that next week in a class I am teaching" JanineL asks, "Glenn how did it go with them working alone?" TaraEM says, "I only recently completed my B.Ed. As part of the program, we worked in groups to design a integrated unit of study on the Web as a WebQuest" GeorgePK says, "always groups of 2" GlennG says, "The folks that produced one each were up to that level through a TLCF Grant ... no problem - but they were ready for it - all on the same page" TaraEM asks, "If you had one hour to share the concept with newbies how would you divide your time?" GeorgePK says, "but about 25% always want to do there own-which is fine." SueMR says, "Must go. Thanks for the sharing session. There is much to explore." GlennG says, "They were even given FTP rights to update as needed... great to see teachers at this level" GailLR says, "what about topics, do you supply the topic, or have everyone come up with their own on the spot, that also seems rather difficult" BernieD says, "Choosing a topic takes a lot of time. On the other hand, everyone wants to create something they'll use themselves." JanineL says, "we suggested that people do one on a unit that they do every year and really like, but want to add the web to..." TaraEM says, "I would find it much more rewarding if the topic was of interest to me and my students" BernieD says, "It would be great to have a list of viable WebQuest ideas with some preliminary links as a sourdough starter." GlennG says, "There is a PowerPoint and web-base presentation on the NC site on the front page... we use it during the first hour... share the basic elements and show examples..." GailLR says, "I completely agree, however, often my students have an extremely hard time being creative on the spot. I was thinking of giving them the choice, and having some ideas to share" JanineL says, "that sound good to me Gail" GlennG says, "Good point JanineL... we do to and also let them know this is the reason for the training" TaraEM asks, "Glenn, what is the NC site?" JanineL asks, "is Glenn still here?" GlennG says, "It is really Bernie's site... but the one we use in NC..." BernieD says, "hmmmmm."
TaraEM says, "thanks" GlennG says, "The PowerPoint and web-based presentations are at the bottom..." JanineL says, "wow, I'm impressed with the preworkshop activities" TaraEM says, "I hope there is no limit on # of bookmarks" BernieD says, "Very nice organization." BJB [to Gail]: "I'll send you a transcript" BernieD says, "A heads-up for all trainers:" TaraEM says, "Wow that is a great resource" GlennG says, "Bernie - when you were out I shared that the "magic" to WebQuest is the freely sharing of ideas and resources" BernieD says, "The rubric for evaluating WebQuests is about to be modified. It has a few new dimensions and the points add up to 40. The Ed Tech folks at San Diego City Schools made some nice additions." GlennG says, "A great resource for WebQuests are ThinkQuest projects that have been created by students - awesome stuff there and a great search engine to find ThinkQuests on topics" TaraEM says, "Thanks" BernieD says, "You may want to incorporate the new version in your plans this summer." JanineL says, "Thanks for the heads up Bernie" GailLR says, "thanks, that's great" GlennG says, "We will look into that Bernie... as for NC - WebQuest is a component to the second level of NC Teacher Academy Training which starts this summer" BernieD asks, "Cool... how many will be going through that?" GlennG says, "This first year we will have teams of two - 40 teams for two weeks so 160 folks at Western Carolina University" BernieD says, "Great. At this rate we'll wipe out world ignorance by 2050." BarbTh has arrived. BJB [HelpDesk] grins at Bernie JanineL laughs BernieD says, "Well... I must be going now. Dinner beckons." Judi waves to Bernie Judi exclaims, "thanks!" JanineL exclaims, "thanks for your time!" GailLR says, "Thanks again Bernie" BernieD says, "Hope to see you all here another time." GlennG says, "Bernie you have REALLY helped folks use the resources of the Internet in an effective way..." TaraEM says, "Thanks Bernie" BernieD says, "aw shux. Thanks Glenn." GlennG exclaims, "Remember you are our hero in NC... no kidding!" BernieD has lost his link. DebbieB has disconnected. JanineL says, "bye everyone" BarbTh says, "Thanks Bernie, you are our hero in North Carolina and it is a pleasure to participate in this session even though I had to leave for a while" JanineL has disconnected. Judi thinks Bernie is a lot of folks hero Judi . o O ( folk's ) BarbTh has disconnected. GailLR waves thanks again you all GlennG exclaims, "Judi - thanks so much for your guidance in this session... this has been an awesome experience for me!" GailLR has lost her link. Judi [to Glenn]: "sure..." Judi says, "i hope you come participate in more things Glenn...." Judi exclaims, "and maybe share your resource with others too!" Judi says, "We'll be glad to share your site." GlennG says, "I hope to Judi - I love to share" Judi [to Glenn]: "Great." GlennG says, "Feel free because that is what makes things work" Judi [to GlennG]: "we'll talk more whenever you want about getting you trained and ready to lead a session" GlennG says, "Just let me know" GlennG says, "OK I am heading out so you can go eat and I can go to bed..." Judi waves bye to Glenn
