Maintain
your bookmarks online with Backflip 1.
Go to Backflip
(www.backflip.com)
and sign up to be a new user. Fill out the
appropriate information. 2.
One of the cool things about Backflip is it will
import your existing bookmarks from your computer.
During the sign up process you can do this, or you
can wait until later to do. You can even import
bookmarks from more than one machine. If
you do decide to do this a Java alert screen will
appear. Hit the grant button, it will only
read your current bookmarks. No information will be
lost on your machine and access to your files are
only granted this one time. 3.
The next page will ask you to select categories for
your bookmarks. You will later be able to add your
own so don't feel like you have to use
theirs! 4.
This is a tricky part. Follow their directions
precisely. By doing this you will be able to
quickly add and file bookmarks to your Backflip
page. Directions specific to your browser and
platform will be given. 5.
Take the tour of Backflip. It will familiarize you
with the many different functions of the web site
not mentioned in this job aid.
